IGNACIO BURGOA

I am, by professional definition, a lawyer specializing in the entertainment industry. In this field, I have worked at the most important intellectual property firm in Mexico (Olivares & Cía.), at the largest record label in the world (Universal Music), and at Mexico's first independent music aggregator (Casete Upload), where I met my mentor, the best music supervisor in Ibero-America, Lynn Fainchtein, with whom I worked closely for many years.

I have also been an independent lawyer for a large number of artists, musicians, writers, and influencers, with my law firm Burgoa&Díaz.

Having had the luck to collaborate with various participants within the entertainment world has allowed me to gain a broader perspective on the needs of each one within this vast game and how to facilitate agreements between their interests.

I am also, by personal definition, a passionate lover of art, especially music, film, and television. Thanks to my passion and the twists and turns of life, I have participated in various projects as a music supervisor and legal advisor in music licensing for different projects in dozens of countries. I have learned that these activities complement each other in a very effective way, allowing me to find creative solutions to complex challenges.

When I am not working, I enjoy watching TV, going to the movies, writing, painting, and spending time with my wife, friends, and my two dogs.
